Chalfont St Giles & Crowne Plaza, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire

Chalfont St Giles is an idilic village set in the in the southeast of Buckinghamshire and forms a part of The Chalfonts. The village centres around the shops, the village green and of course Chalfont St Giles parish church.

Walking through the gap between the shops towards the church is a magical moment as the small enterance makes way for the wonderful sight of the church, which dates back as far as 1159. It was also the wedding venue for a beautiful couple. The weather held out as the guests arrived and the bride was able to walk down the aisle with her mother and the bridesmaids.

The wedding ceremony was simply beautiful, the wedding rings exchanged, the vows said, the readings done, there was even a duet by some of the wedding guests. Then it was time to leave and the sound of rain could be heard on the church roof. Not to be put off, and with the help of the vicar, the location of the group wedding photographs was quickly changed to indoors.

Following the wedding ceremony it was time for a short journey to the Crowne Plaza in Gerrards Cross for drinks, the wedding reception and of course some dancing. The weather even changed, if just for a brief moment to allow for some wedding photographs outside and the throwing of the wedding bouquet.

All in all a wonderful wedding and I wish the couple every happiness in the future.
