Headshot Photography For Actors, Presenters & Models With A Disability

It was such a delight to have Katherine Goodyear in my studio for some headshot photography. Katherine is one of the many actors out there with a disability, and her agency VisABLE People is one of the leading acting agencies specialising in supporting disabled actors.

I am always one to help actors either start or progress their career regardless of the challenges that they face and when I got told about Katherine I jumped at the opportunity to help.

Whenever I work with disabled people I will admit I often get more out of the headshot photography session than they do. Yes, they are those ones who go away with the headshot photographs that they are looking for and an important tool to help them with their acting career. I though get a reminder, that if I really think about it, that they are more able than I am.

Katherine did nothing to get me away from that feeling. She was a star in front of the camera, her joy for what she wanted to do really showed. She is going to be a great asset to VisABLE People and I am sure I won’t be long before she is snapped up by a casting director.

As a piece of advice for that lucky casting director, Katherine is also a ballroom dancer so if you want her to laugh ask her what her favourite dance is. If you need a winning smile just ask her what’s her husbands name, the smile you get in return will show you how much she loves him.
