As someone who spent two years homeless, living on the streets of High Wycombe, I faced adversity and discrimination in ways I could never have imagined. This period of my life was incredibly challenging, but it introduced me to the transformative power of photography. It became an escape, a means of expression, and eventually, a lifeline.

My background is not just about homelessness; it’s also marked by the hardships of being bullied in school and witnessing my parents go through a painful divorce. These experiences deepened my understanding of the challenges people face when confronted with discrimination, diversity, and adversity. In addition, I had to overcome a critical illness, which further fueled my determination to create something positive out of my life.

Fast forward to today, I stand before you as an award-winning photographer, and I have channeled my experiences into a mission. I founded the Christopher James Hall Foundation with a clear purpose: to help those who, like me, are facing discrimination, adversity, or diversity. The photography competition is one of the ways we’re working to make a real impact.
