Nothing makes me feel better at a wedding than when the bride is obviously having a fantastic time. This was clearly the case during my visit to St Nicholas church in Norton and Fanhams Hall near Ware, the bride just couldn’t stop laughing and smiling all day.
There was even a complete fit of the giggles as the couple exchanged their rings and not I’m not going to tell you what the vicar said to get her started.
After the wedding ceremony it was time to leave St Nicholas church set for a short drive over to Fanhams Hall. Fanhams Hall is a fantastic venue , especially from a wedding photographer’s point of view. Not only is the venue stunning both inside and out it also comes with a range of gardens from formal to a secret walled garden.
During my time with the bride and groom we took time to explore the different gardens in a relaxed way, along them to simply wander around as I ‘snapped’ away from a distance. I always find that this approach not only creates some wonderful natural photographs of the bride and groom but also allows them a short period of time to relax away from the other guests so they can catch up with the events of the day.
After the bride and groom photographs were taken we went on to capture the group photographs before being led inside for the wedding reception held in one of the rooms available. After the food was eaten it was on to the speeches and the the bestman’s speech did not disappoint.
Following the speeches it was time for a quick game of Mr & Mrs before I left the happy couple and their guests to enjoy the evening.
I had such a great time photographing this wedding and I look forward to the next time I am invited back to St Nicholas church and Fanhams Hall.
