I my preferred style for wedding photography is natural and what could be more natural than a bride and groom having their photos taken in the woods. That is exactly what this couple did after their ceremony at Cheshunt Register Office.
This year register offices are busier than usual, so time is of the essence. Many registry offices don’t want weddings overlapping, with good reason. You wouldn’t want to turn up for your wedding with the previous couple still at the venue. Not only is it a bit uncomfortable for the couple and their guests, it is also very confusing for any wedding photographer (yes, I have had the situation where weddings overlap and trying to work out which guests I should be photographing is a nightmare).
This couple though came up with the perfect solution. They scouted out a location, at Broxbourne Woods, that they liked that was on the way to the restaurant where they were holding their wedding reception. The idea was perfect as not only did it mean that they could vacate Cheshunt Registry office before the next wedding arrived. It also meant that they got some truly unique bride and groom photographs (along with some very curious looks from the local dog walkers).
Perhaps if you are planning a registry office wedding it could be something that you could consider.
